Paloma Picasso was born in Paris on April 19, 1949 to Francoise Gilot and Pablo Picasso. Paloma Picasso spent her childhood in Paris and the South of France surrounded by artists, and intellectuals
After attending the University de Paris in Nanterre, Paloma Picasso became a theatrical costumer and stylist for a Paris theatre production company
While a costumer, Paloma Picasso developed her talent in jewellery design and decided to go back to design school. Paloma Picasso began producing her own costume jewellery collection which YSL showed in 1969. In 1970 and 1971 Paloma Picasso designed for the House of Zolotas, where she perfected her skills, acquiring knowledge of the practical aspects of jewellery production |
