Lanvin is a clothing business that was started by Jeanne Lanvin. Lanvin made such beautiful clothes for her daughter that they began to catch the attention of a number of wealthy people who requested copies for their own children. Soon, Lanvin was making dresses for their mothers, and some of the most famous names in Europe were included as customers of her new boutique
The most significant expansion to Lanvin was the creation of Lanvin Parfums in 1924 and the opening of her signature perfume Arpège in 1927 that was inspired by the sound of her daughter's practising her scales on the piano |
