Issey Miyake was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1938 and studied graphic design at the Tama Art University in Tokyo graduating in 1964. After graduation Issey Miyake worked in Paris and New York City. Returning to Tokyo in 1970 Issey Miyake founded the Miyake Design Studio in 1970 and started to show his line at the Paris Collections in 1973
Like many fashion designers, Issey Miyake also his own lines of perfume. The first perfume of Issey Miyake, the light aquatic-floral L Eau D Issey for women, was launched in 1992. The perfume was followed by L Eau D Issey Pour Homme in 1994 |
