In 1953, by furnishing Hollywood movie stars Givenchy achieved a popularity like never before, for his modern, ladylike styles, which earned him many loyal clients. In 1955 Givenchy introduced separates and then the Orlon-fabric to the haute couture. His designs are elegant and refined. During the 1990s, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen were both head designers of the House of Givenchy
