Alexander McQueen was born in the East End of London in 1970 and is one of the leading lights of international design
Over his career Alexander McQueen has obtained many awards which includes Alexander McQueen being the youngest designer to achieve the title "British Designer of the Year", which Alexander McQueen won four times between 1996 and 2003. Alexander McQueen has also been awarded the CBE, as well as being named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards
Due to his fashion expertise Alexander McQueen was instated as head designer at Givenchy in 1996 and in December 2000 Alexander McQueen acquired 51% of the Gucci Group, and Alexander McQueen serving as Creative Director. Now his perfumes is under the ownership of the Gucci group
As of 2007 Alexander McQueen has stores in New York, London, Los Angeles, Milan, and Las Vegas
Alexander McQueen launched his first perfume Alexander McQueen Kingdom in 2003 followed by Alexander McQueen MyQueen in 2005 |
